Ocean Farm Services LTD orders new service vessel from STAMAS Yard Services AS
The newly established joint venture company out of Shetland, Ocean Farm Services LTD orders its first vessel from STAMAS Yard Services AS, this will be build no. 001 for the company.
During the next few months the two Shetland companies North Isles Marine LTD (live fish carriers) and Aurora Marine LTD (workboats), will combine forces to provide a broader service to the aqua cultural industry in the North Sea. The newly formed joint venture between the two will be named Ocean Farm Services LTD and this is the first new build for the new company.

The new build will join the operating Aurora Quest of the same design doing mainly net cleaning for the farming companies. The hull will be made in Poland while the outfitting will take place at STAMAS premises at Karmsund Servicebase, just outside Haugesund, Norway. Delivery is scheduled to take place early summer of 2019.

Marin Design was founded in 2006, but the company have its roots in the ship building business from 1923. Located in the small Norwegian city of Kolvereid the company today mainly provides designs for service vessels for aquaculture and fishing vessels.
